Trevella Park won bronze in the Holiday Park of the Year category at last night’s prestigious Cornwall Tourism Awards (Thursday, 3 November).
It’s the third year in a row Trevella has appeared in the top three places, this year beating off a record number of entries.
Trevella picked up its prize after impressing judges across a wide range of categories in a rigorous three-stage process that saw the park’s qualities scored, mystery shopped and then debated by a panel of industry professionals.
The park was praised for its significant investment at the start of this year, which saw it upgrade facilities, build new pool changing huts, add hot tubs to its glamping suites and introduce ensuite facilities to its touring pitches.
2016 has been an award-winning year for Trevella, with the park also achieving a 90% quality score from Visit England to maintain its prestigious five-star rating; retain its AA 5-Pennant Gold Award, and receiving its 18th Gold Award for environmental standards from the David Bellamy conservation awards.
Rob, General Manager at Trevella Park said, “It is an incredible achievement to reach the final three places of the Holiday Park of the Year award for three consecutive years. This is reward for the thoughtful development and ongoing improvements we have made over the past few years to grow the park without losing any of its charms.
“All the Trevella Park team works incredibly hard to ensure that our guests are amazed when they stay with us, and it is this dedication to high quality customer service that has helped us do so well.
“We can’t wait to celebrate our success with our wonderful customers, many of whom come back year after year, decade after decade, and generation after generation”
Cornwall Tourism judges were choosing from 195 entries in 2016, the most ever received for the annual event.
