Trevella Park: Explore our award-winning caravan site in Cornwall
Choosing the right caravan site in Cornwall for you and your family isn’t easy. After all, there’s just so many for you to pick from! Do you look for coast or country, quiet or busy? Decisions, decisions…
Every caravan site in Cornwall is different – from the quality and range of holiday homes on offer to their setting and on-park amenities. And we here at Trevella know that even our award-winning park isn’t for everyone (but we don’t pretend to be, either).
If you’re looking for somewhere where your family can enjoy a quiet, relaxing getaway in a stunning setting then Trevella is most certainly the place for you. If, however, you want non-stop live entertainment from stars of the small screen then perhaps one of our other parks could be for you… There’s no loud, brash clubhouse here – just all the space and time you need to discover Cornwall at your leisure.
So, what’s on park?
If you’re looking for the equivalent of Center Parcs in Cornwall, with dozens of rides and attractions on-park then I’m afraid you won’t find it at Trevella. We have don’t offer a massive indoor leisure complex complete with Olympic-sized pool, log flume rides and aromatherapy spas. Instead we’re all about quiet, relaxing breaks by the coast and simple pleasures.
But that doesn’t mean to say we don’t still have a great range of facilities at our caravan site in Cornwall! Dive in to our heated outdoor pool with the kids (great for cooling off after a tough day out exploring Cornwall), let the kids blow off some steam on our adventure playground, hook a monster carp on our two fishing lakes, try your luck on our crazy golf course, enjoy a relaxing cuppa in our café. During the school holidays we also offer our free Ranger activities for the kids. Led by our expert Ranger, we offer a whole host of exciting adventures, including fishing for beginners, crabbing, insect spotting and wildlife walks! Your kids will love it! For your convenience Trevella is also home to a launderette, a mini supermarket for all those daily essentials and even offers a dog grooming service PLUS there’s free WiFi available, too!
Location, location, location…
Another big factor to consider when choosing a caravan site in Cornwall is, of course, location. The county is famed for its dramatic and breathtaking coastline and so many visitors want their accommodation to be as near to the coast as possible. Lucky, then, that Trevella is just a short walk from the beach! And what a beach it is too…
We’re close to the beautiful National Trust-owned Crantock Beach, which is on the opposite site of the River Gannel to the busy resort of Newquay. Crantock Beach is a large expanse of golden sand that’s perfect for long walks, building sandcastles or even surfing. It may be close to Newquay but, unlike the beaches of this busy town, it is much quieter and is ideal for those who don’t want to fight the crowds for a spot on the sand on a warm summer’s day.
Location is also important when considering all the things you might want to do in Cornwall. The county may only be small but it can take several hours to journey from one day to the other. And, when the sun is shining, the last place you want to be is stuck in the car. Located near Newquay, in mid-Cornwall, Trevella is perfectly placed for you to discover all that this beautiful county has to offer – without having to travel for hours!
Newquay is right on your doorstep while the idyllic destinations of Padstow (home of celeb chef Rick Stein), Port Isaac (home of TV’s Doc Martin), Boscastle and Tintagel are all located up the north coast, while St Ives with its narrow winding streets and vibrant art scene is to our south. On the opposite coast the historic ports of Looe, Fowey and the ancient smuggler’s cove of Polperro are also well worth a visit! Truro, Cornwall’s only city, is a great place for a spot of retail therapy with a huge range of national and independent shops plus many bars, cafes and restaurants!
There’s something for everyone in Cornwall!
As well as the beaches and those chocolate box destinations Cornwall is also home to some of the UK’s most iconic visitor attractions. It’s also handy for entertaining the younger members of your party, especially when the weather isn’t being so kind! From our park you can easily get to attractions such as the Eden Project, St Michael’s Mount, Minack Theatre, Flambards Theme Park, Camel Creek Adventure Park, Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef Aquarium and many more!
