Spent a lovely weekend here in October, wonderful location and amazing beaches near by. Cannot praise the owners enough, very welcoming and helpful. Great family caravan park and campsite with good amenities. Highly recommend.

We found this fantastic campsite by accident when internet searching dog friendly sites. We have been regular visitors to cornwall over the last 15 years and have tried many different sites but this is by far the best ! The caravans are spotlessly clean and fresh smelling (ours was a dog friendly van and there was no hint of the previous four legged guest!) a dog basket , bowl and treats welcomed our labrador and easy clean vinyl floors throughout were a plus as he has yet to learn to wipe his feet! The caravan was of a good size and well equipped and the beds were made up for us with duvet covers that actually fitted properly! The grounds of the campsite were beautifully maintained and the effort put into the flower displays was obvious. Two fishing lakes were worth a visit even just for a stroll to take in the views and wildlife. There is an outdoor pool and a small games room as well as a superb crazy golf course, play areas and a small pets corner for the kids. A well equipped shop and reasonably priced decent cafe were also very good. No clubhouse thankfully meant no noise late at night and no large headed cartoon characters to terrify children and make adults feel awkward was an absolute blessing! A kids daily rangers club involves learning about wildlife, fishing bugs ect looked very good fun. Overall this is the best site we have ever stayed at, and ALL the staff from receptionists to the lovely cleaning lady were the most helpful and friendly we have encountered. We shall be back!!!!

We booked a Monday to Friday break in a static caravan through the Daily Mail and being such a good deal were a bit apprehensive about what we would find. Quite unnecessarily as it turns out. The location was perfect, easy to find but sufficiently away from the main road to be peaceful and tranquil. The site was very well maintained and very pretty with an abundance of flowers, trees and shrubs. Warmly welcomed at reception we were given a site map with clear directions to our luxury caravan which we found without any difficulty. With a small wooden terrace to the side (complete with table) the caravan was spacious and modern with everything you could possibly need and absolutely spotless! In fact, cleaning staff are to be commended, not a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. Crockery was modern design, white porcelain, with 6 of everything. Draws were fully stocked with full set of cutlery in addition to a range of sharp knives, scissors, stainless steel cooking utensils, as well as a full set of saucepans and oven dishes.
We opted to take our own bed linen and although we took our own mattress cover all the beds already had mattress covers on them.
The caravan had two bedrooms, a double and twin, with another fold out bed in the lounge so I guess sleeps six although it was only the two of us, however there was plenty of storage space even if there were six in the party.
The bedrooms and bathroom were quite compact with more space given to the actual living areas of kitchen, lounge/diner, however, they were certainly fit for purpose and the shower in the bathroom was actually quite spacious (almost half the size of the bathroom!)
A small boiler situated in a storage cupboard in the hallway heated water on demand so no shortage of hot water in either the kitchen or bathroom.
We tried the full english breakfast in the small (but again very clean) cafe on the site one morning which was very nice and very good value. There is a shop on site which stocks much of the essentials (including daily papers) and was surprisingly reasonably priced.
We specifically chose a site without a clubhouse and entertainment, wanting peace and tranquility, and we were not disappointed. Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Trevalla and will definitely be returning next year.

Enjoyed staying at Trevella so much we paid for an extra night. Lovely clean facilities, friendly welcoming staff. Convenient 10-15 minute drive into Newquay or a bus service every hour to the front gates of the site. Very dog friendly which was perfect for us as we had taken our pup on his first camping experience. Would highly recommend and definitely visit again. Perhaps one downside being little entertainment on those rainy days.

This was the 4 time I’ve been back camping there, go every year and never have any issue. Brilliant staff, brilliant site, and lovely locations. One of the aspects i do like there is no club house on site, equals no noise. Everyone is so friendly and the staff even more so.
Very close to beaches and Newquay town Center 7 min car drive.
Brought my other half camping for the first time and she loved it. She Really liked the site and the staff and where the location was. We both enjoyed the stay, have already booked and payed for next year.
Looking forward to coming back next year. See you guys August 2015

We have returned from another great holiday at Trevella this year. I would highly recommend this site it is quite and well kept. Plenty of open space in front of the caravans, unlike other sites we looked at. Great to be able to watch the kids play out in front of the caravan while we relax in the front room of the caravan or veranda.
Pool is nice but could do with a little more heat, ok once u have got in. Well stocked shop for all the basics. Fishing lakes great fun for kids and adults. Big fish for the adults and lots of little ones for the kids.
The site has changed over last couple of years with new caravans which is a bonus.
Ground staff are allways pottering around keeping the site in great condition.
Our caravan was great this year we had a lovely new caravan with full veranda. Lots of space and very well looked after.
The site is located close to Newquay and is a great hub to see lots of the Cornish attractions.
Lovely walk too the beach and would highly recommend a trip to the boogie inn for the Sunday dinner.
The site is nice and quite at night due to no on site club which is what we like. No silly shows and being pressured to by rubbish flashing lights. Local takeaways will deliver to the site and we had a great curry dropped off.
Please be aware that you are not guaranteed to get your caravan before 4. This is the only down side for us as we have a 4 hour plus drive to get to Trevella. As we travel early to beat the holiday traffic it means we are waiting all day to empty the car of luggage. 8 hour travel back due to leaving at 9 ish and hitting the holiday traffic.

Great place, great staff, good facilities, and a fine location for exploring Cornwall. And a fine place for families. The Safari tents are really good value if you want to stay in a tent but with the facilities of a caravan. Try that – glamping is the name of it!

Very clean and quiet site, with lots of space and walks, just what you need to unwind. Pitches are a great size and play parks and swimming pool are great. Had fun playing the crazy golf . Didn’t use the lakes as not a Fisher but looked popular.

Not long got back from a 3 night day Easter bank holiday, really happy we picked to come here and upgraded to the superior, amazing view of the fishing lakes, gated entrance, extremely modern caravan, every thing we needed (apart from a corkscrew) short walk down to crantock beach, children loved it, will defiantly come back & have recommended it to family & friends

We camped at Trevella in June, it is great for local walks and Crantock beach is just down the road, the pitch was a good size and in good condition.
It has a small café on site and a small shop, I think they could be doing with somewhere that serves food in the evenings though.

We love camping but the one thing we find can be a bit hit and miss on some sites are the toilet/showers (some are just gross) , well not at Trevella, they were always clean and we saw the cleaners going in to them throughout the day (nice to know you don’t have to dread going to a dirty loo).
The showers were always warm too.

The staff were nice and polite and made us feel welcome.

We will stay here again as we really enjoyed it. 🙂

Me and my partner booked online to stay at Trevella for 1 week over the may bank holiday, this was a quick easy process however we made the mistake of firstly booking a caravan pitch instead of one for a tent! Fortunately for us we recognised this mistake and Trevella helped us correct this and refunded the money we had paid for the caravan pitch.

On arrival to the holiday park we were greeted at reception and given a brief explanation on where to find our pitch along with a map of the park. We struggled at first to locate the pitch as the pitches were not numbered, after asking some nearby campers their pitch number we found our spot and began to set up camp. it may be helpful if Trevella put small wooden numbers into all the pitches to just make it that bit smoother when finding pitch.

We were located a few metres from the playpark and within walking distance of the fishing lake. The toilet facilities were close enough to us to be convient and were cleaned regularly. I never had a cold shower but I did use the bigger shower rooms whereas my partner used the smaller showers located in the toilet block and said he had a few cold ones. I told him to use the bigger showers that were connected with the laundrette and he never complained of a cold shower again.

The overall presentation of the park was lovely and everyone nearby to our pitch was very friendly and welcoming. During our stay there were lots of children playing and they all seemed to make friends very easily, playing on the play park and swimming together.

The holiday park is a few minutes drive to the beautiful Crantock Beach and a short walk, we did not do the walk down but saw a few families that did and the walk didn’t seem to take them too long and saved on the car park fees which were £3 when we stayed, unless you were a national trust member then it was free! Note to campers if you intend to drive a lot during your stay at Newquay bring lots of change because car parking charges are everywhere. The beach is very long with lifeguards patrolling and wetsuit body and surf board hire as well as surf lessons.

Newquay Town is a 5 minute drive away and there is also a bus service that runs regularly from the very front of the park, making it easy to get about. There were lots of places to grab something quick to eat and we had some gorgeous pasties from a little pasty shop tucked away. If you love surfing/bodyboarding you will not be disappointed with the beaches or shops selling all you need at reasonable prices.

We managed to do a deep sea fishing trip, go- karting, visited the adrenaline quarry to do a 50 ft zip-wire and did plenty of bodyboarding during our stay. I absolutely loved cornwall and the Trevella holiday park and would recommend it to couples and families, a great week and already looking to re-book for August!

We recently spent a long weekend at Trevella in a static caravan with two young children. At first I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive that “camping” wouldn’t be for us, however my suspicions were laid to rest the second we arrived at Trevella. Our caravan was beautifully clean and well equipped with plenty of room and storage for the four of us. The peace and tranquillity at Trevella is immediately apparent but was isn’t is the extensive grounds – take a wonder to explore them! The location (5 mins from Newquay) was perfect for us for day trips to the zoo and aquarium. We’ll defiantly be back but might try “roughing it” in a ready or safari tent next time and getting a little bit more al fresco!

Stayed here in one of the safari tents in June/July 2013 and we had a fantastic time. It was our first real holiday with our toddler (we haven’t been brave enough to get our own tent out yet so thought glamping would be a good start) and all 3 of us had the time of our lives.

The site is spotless and very welcoming. Huge credit to the groundkeepers – the flower beds and hanging baskets are just stunning.

All staff we met were very polite, pleasant and helpful.

Have seen a couple of reviews were people have complained about the ‘man in the cafe’ being miserable. In my experience he wasn’t miserable – he was extremely overworked. Working the breakfast and evening meal shifts without any help. So that meant all the food prep, taking orders, cooking orders, taking the money, clearing tables, washing up. etc etc. Its an awful lot for one person to do alone. And lets not forget that the cafe offers takeaway as well as sit down meals so even though it may seem quiet in the cafe that doesn’t mean that he does not have a large number of other orders needing attention. The food he served was always first class – no complaints here but please give the guy some assistance!

The safari tent was everything we could have hoped for and the beds were really quite comfie. There was plenty of room within the tent and all necessities were provided.

The toilet blocks were always sparkling clean. We used the family shower rooms and found that the showers could be cold to begin with but they normally warmed up in a matter of time.

We loved the location of the site too and the beach at Crantock is quite simply breathtaking. Luckily, as National Trust members it was free for us to park here too so had a number of ‘free’, fantastic days out here. Site only 5/10 mins from Newquay which was very handy.

Overall we had a fabulous, memorable first family holiday and loved loved loved the safari tents. Will definitely be returning.

We camped here in October 2012. Very welcoming and efficient check in procedure. We were directed to the camping pitches and told that although we had been allocated a pitch we could go wherever we liked as there werent very many other tents.
We chose a pitch at the top of the hill, sheltered by conifers. The pitches are plenty big enough for even the largest of tents, there was still plenty of room to park the car alongside the tent too.
The shower/toilet block was spotlessly clean and well heated ( we did have some chilly mornings!)Lots of hot water too. Be warned though, if you have a pitch close to the block the lights do stay on all night.
Plenty of washing up sinks for cleaning pots and pans.
Small TV block with a dozen or so chairs if you’re missing some home comforts!
There is a small shop on siute which is handy if you run out of any essentials.
The campsite is an ideal base for exploring the delights Cornwall has to offer

“We went back to Travella this week after our last trip nine years ago. We had very fond memories of the place but were NOT disappointed. The caravans were lovely and clean and smelling fresh and even though it was very chilly outside, the heaters kept us lovely and warm. The staff were still as pleasant and helpful as we remembered and the facilities quiet but more than sufficient; everything we needed for a family holiday. We have all said we will definitely be going back next year!”

“We used to stay here several years ago using our own tourer but then moved on to another area. Well last year we returned and enjoyed it so much we opted to leave a tourer here in storage. Having just returned from a weeks stay over easter we cannot wait to go back later this month. the park has the same friendly atmosphere as before, the staff are very friendly and put on a great easter egg hunt which pleased my kids. they even managed to come first and second in the easter colouring competetion!!”
