David Bellamy Conservation Award

This is the thirteenth year that Trevella has been selected by Professor David Bellamy to receive a GOLD David Bellamy Conservation Award. Granted only to parks which have demonstrated a sound commitment to the natural world, these awards are described by Professor David Bellamy as the ‘Green Olympics’ for Britain’s holiday parks.

“Last year I reported that Trevella is a model for the David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme – a shining example of everything that the Scheme stands for. I reported that everything good that I had detailed on in the past remained and is often improved upon – this Park gets better every year!

It is indeed a great pleasure to return this year to this Park and find that so much work has taken place ‘behind the scenes’ over the winter to ensure that the high standards achieved in the past have been maintained and that even more improvements have taken place. It was pointed out to me that ‘winter is the busiest time on this Park!’

During my visit I saw a good range of wildflowers around the site; the 2 lake areas are particularly colourful at present and teeming with wildlife. The extended ‘butterfly bar’ promises to be a picture of flowers later, thanks to the careful management and hard pruning.”
