Eden Project, Bodelva
The internationally famous Eden Project is a spectacular global garden that tells the story of mankind’s dependence on plants. The Rainforest Biome ̶ big enough to hold the Tower of London ̶ houses exotics species from the tropics and rainforests. The smaller Mediterranean Biome showcases plants from civilisations around the Mediterranean, southern Africa and America.

Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay
Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium is a giant ocean tank where visitors can walk below seas for fish-eye views of the Cornish coast, 'underwater gardens' of the Mediterranean and dazzling tropical reefs. Come face-to-face with amazing white tip reef sharks, stingrays, moray eels and hundreds of brightly coloured reef fish.

Golf around Newquay
There are many superb golf courses near to Trevella Park, these are three that are on our doorstep and we can recommend: Newquay, which overlooks Fistral Beach; Holywell Bay which is testing yet worth the challenge for the amazing views, and the nine-hole Treloy Golf Course.
Newquay Zoo
Award-winning Newquay Zoo is set in exotic lakeside gardens and home to hundreds of animals from around the world. Highlights include the African Savannah which is home to stunning black wildebeest and waterbuck, beautiful red pandas, plus unusual species such as the Visayan warty pig and fishing cat.

Minack Theatre, Porthcurno
Minack is a unique open-air theatre created from the cliff side at Porthcurno. The theatre, which has spectacular views from Porthcurno Bay to Logan Rock, hosts a summer-long season of plays, opera and musicals under the stars. Shows in 2012 include Titanic - The Musical, Suzanne Vega, The Mevagissey Male Voice Choir, The Sound of Music and Macbeth.

Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Austell
Heligan’s 200 acres of gardens include Victorian Productive Gardens, formal Pleasure Gardens, a sub-tropical Jungle and a pioneering Wildlife Project, all hidden under impenetrable brambles and gorse until recent times. Click here to visit their website

Tate, St Ives
The Tate at St Ives displays a variety of modern and contemporary art and is the home of British Modernism. The gallery was built to celebrate the artists, ideas and atmosphere that inspired the movement.

Picture-box towns and villages
The fishing villages of Padstow (22 miles), Port Isaac (27 miles), Fowey (26 miles) and Mevagissey (23 miles) are close. Tintagel (35 miles), has one of England’s most stunning coastlines and endearing legends – King Arthur.
