Best Carp of the Month and Junior Fishing Competition

We will also be holding a ‘Best Carp of the Month’ competition, with some great prizes. Over the school holidays we are running junior fishing competitions. Please refer to our  fishing competition rules. Open to residents only. Maximum 3 fishermen per 6 berth or 4 fishermen per 8 berth.

Trevella Park Competition rules

  • All anglers must have a current Environment Agency rod licence
  • All keepnets and landing nets to be dipped before fishing
  • All feeders must be free running
  • All bombs must be free running
  • Maximum of two keepnets no stones or rocks in your keepnets
  • No keepnets in the water until 20minutes before match starts
  • No method or feeder floats
  • Barbless hooks only maximum size 10
  • Minimum 4” hook length on method feeders or bombs
  • No braided line (main line or hook length only)
  • Maximum12 meter pole length
  • No floating the pole, the rattler or taping the water
  • No second pole to feed whilst fishing
  • Minimum 6” of line between pole float and elastic connector
  • No floating baits
  • One rod or one pole in the water at any one time

Bait allowance

  • 6 pints made up of carp/coarse pellets, combined maggots and castors, meat corn or hemp.
  • Maximum 3 pints of Meat/ Pellet or combined

Additional Bait

  • Maximum 2 kilo of ground bait
  • Maximum 1 kilo of worms
  • Maximum 1 small loaf

The above bait allowance refers to the amount you are allowed to take to your peg.
All bait must be prepared and ready to use.
No surface or floating bait permitted.
We reserve the right to amend /add to these rules at any time without prior notice.
By entering the matches at Trevella you agree to abide by these rules.
In the event of a dispute concerning these rules or conduct during the match the decision of Trevella’s fishery team is final.
